The Tail File component of MQJExplorer is available from the Tools menu in the main window. This component may be invoked to examine and then follow the contents of a named file on the disk.
When the file name is entered, a read-only display of the text file is shown. As new data is appended to the file from an external source, the window is updated to reflect the new contents. If the follow button is checked then the window automatically scrolls to the end of the data to display the latest information. This tool is ideal for examining MQSI trace files or MQSeries error logs that are being appended. Each instance of the Tail File component is independent so multiple windows can be opened simultaneously to view different files.
The font may be changed and the contents copied to the clipboard as well as simple viewing.
