An alternative Socket Interceptor (Proxy) application (which looks better than my effort) can be found at:
The socket interceptor listens on a TCP/IP port for an incoming connection. When it receives that connection, it connects onwards to another target port on the same machine. As data flows back and forth through the interceptor, it is echoed to the screen.
Where <inPort> is the port number on which the Interceptor is listening and <outPort> is the onwards port.
For example, for MQSeries:
java Interceptor 9876 1414
And then specifying that 9876 is the port on which the MQSeries Listener is listening upon will cause all traffic to/from the listener to be displayed on the screen.
